OeKB Sustainability Fund Index
Der OeSFX ist ein Beispiel für die konsequente Umsetzung eines geprüften Umweltmanagementsystems gemäß EMAS. Das entspricht der Intention der EMAS Verordnung, die ja auch produkt- und dienstleistungsbezogene Umweltauswirkungen mit einschließt und somit weit über die Erstellung von Umweltberichten hinausgeht.

With the OeKB Sustainability Fund Index (OeSFX), investors and fund managers can now compare their daily fund performance to that of the universe of environmentally and socially responsible, sustainable stock funds listed in Austria.

OeSFX Criteria of fund eligibility
Funds are eligible for inclusion in the index if, based on their investment policy, they invest in companies whose environmental or ethical/social practices and performance are particularly responsible. Purely socially oriented funds are included if their investment selection policies or practices incorporate at least some environmental criteria.

OeSFX Calculation method
To be eligible for inclusion in the index, a fund must have assets under management of at least EUR 3 million (or the equivalent in foreign currency). The funds in the index are weighted by their size in terms of assets under management, based on three size classes. The weighting factor is 1 for a fund size below EUR 30 million, 2 for a fund size from EUR 30 to 100 million, and 3 for a fund larger than EUR 100 million.
